Is Eachday a good alternative to Duolingo?+
They're built on opposite philosophies. Duolingo is a game you have to keep winning — points, leagues, and a streak to protect. Eachday is one word a day with no score at all. If gamification works for you, keep it. If it stresses you out or you keep quitting over broken streaks, Eachday is the calm alternative: you learn by glancing at your home screen, not by finishing lessons.
Does learning one word a day actually work?+
One word a day is 365 words a year — learned with context, pronunciation, and a story, which is how words tend to stick. Eachday isn't a complete course and doesn't pretend to be one; it's a habit that compounds quietly and pairs well with anything else you're doing, including nothing.
How does the widget work?+
Add the Eachday widget from your iPhone's widget gallery and today's word appears right on your home screen — it works on the lock screen too. The word refreshes each morning. You don't need to open the app at all.
How do I cancel my subscription?+
Subscriptions are handled by Apple: open Settings on your iPhone, tap your name, tap Subscriptions, choose Eachday, and tap Cancel. You keep access until the end of the period you've paid for, and the free daily word keeps working either way.
What iPhone do I need?+
Eachday requires iOS 17.0 or later. It's a small, fast download — the app is designed to be glanced at, not lived in.
Is Eachday available on Android?+
Not yet — Eachday is iPhone-only today. If you'd like the daily word anyway, you can get it by email from the homepage, and you'll hear when that changes.
